The Treasure Box
is located in the center of
Gros Morne National Park
At 72 Main St. North, Rocky Harbour Newfoundland and Labrador

The Treasure Box is well known for several things. It is both a quality craft store featuring locally made products, and one of Rocky Harbour's most popular restaurants featuring a menu that consists of Newfoundland dishes which are all home made daily.

The Treasure Box specializes in only quality hand made goods. We carry a large selection of hand knit sweaters, mitts, socks, and hats. These are all fabricated by local knitters who work over the winter months to ensure the best selection available for the tourist season. The store also offers a large selection of framed and matted limited edition prints by local artisans. We are the exclusive retailer in Western Newfoundland for world famous Tilley Endurable Hats which are a must for your comfort while hiking the many trails in this area. The store also features a large selection of stained glass products which are all hand made, and quality Christmas decorations of all kinds. If this were not enough we also carry a large variety of t-shirts, sweatshirts, fleece wear, and both local books and music telling many a story of the folklore of the Great Northern Peninsula in this scenic Province.
You can browse all of the above while waiting for your meal from our eating area. Our head cook Annie Shears is well known for her abilities in the kitchen. Good home cooked meals are nothing new to her having fed a family of twelve other people. Everything is baked and cooked on a daily basis to ensure the highest quality meals. We feature turkey, pea, and moose soup cooked on site daily. A bowl of our soup with a home made dinner roll is a meal in itself. Cod au Gratin, fish chowder, fish cakes, moose burgers, baked beans, chili, and many other local specialties are always available daily. We pride ourselves in our pancakes and muffins which are made with local blueberries and partridge berries and freshly made every morning. We also have bagels, toasted homemade bread, the best coffee in town, and yes we serve breakfast all day long. If Annie is not in the kitchen ensuring everything is being cooked to her satisfaction, she will be out in the coffee shop telling you one of her famous stories of local folklore.
Upstairs you'll find 'The Loft', a gallery with local N.L. limited edition prints and selection of original art work and crafts. You can even check your email there!

We pride ourselves in the home made jams which we manufacture right in our kitchen. All types of berries local to Gros Morne National Park are hand picked and jams are made daily.

Rocky Harbour has glorious sunsets almost every night. They can be viewed while enjoying your evening coffee on our front deck after a day of fun. We have one of the best views in town, and several days a week have visits from local entertainers.

Finally we can ship our products anywhere in the world.
